I've spent untold thousands of hours listening to Suns' legendary Hall of Fame broadcaster Al McCoy announce Suns games. I've experienced so many key moments of Suns basketball via Mr. McCoy, I had to give my old friend a thread here. The Suns just tweeted out this classic pic of him, so I thought I'd post it. The line about the old deep freeze is a McCoy classic.  |

As I stated elsewhere on the board, over the years I've heard Al say "the Suns get set to shine" as he leads into a Suns game. Hence, the name of this board... Set to Shine!

Of the numerous memories I have of listening to Suns history unfold by way of Al McCoy on the radio, I'm glad I caught most of the game where Tom Chambers scored the all-time Suns high of 60 points. I was delivering pizzas in Phoenix that night, and of course had the game on my car radio.
