Welcome to the Phoenix Suns fans message board Set to Shine! My name is Mark Davis, founder of the board. I moved to Phoenix, AZ, at the age of 8 in 1968. Yes, that was the Suns first year of playing basketball in the NBA. I've always followed the Suns, and I've been to a number of their games. And, I've literally listened to thousands of hours of Suns basketball on radio station KTAR. That means I've spent thousands of hours listening to legendary Hall of Fame Suns play-by-play announcer Al McCoy. Several minutes before a Suns game Al uses the phrase "as the Suns get set to shine", and that's where I got the name for the board.
